About this site
SourceKokanee Glacier Provincial Park is high country in the Selkirks, reached from the Kaslo side of the West Kootenays. Alpine lakes, rock and old forest set the tone, and the Joker Lakes sit under a kilometre from camp.
About 189 sites are listed, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, with pit toilets, potable water and fire pits. Hiking is the main event, with the Woodbury trailhead about 7 km away; fishing, swimming, biking and a boat launch fill in the rest.
Ainsworth Hot Springs is the closest community at about 17 km, and the nearest listed fuel is the Kokanee Park Marina about 19 km out, so arrive topped up. The Kokanee Creek old growth is about 11 km off and Crusader Cabin about 14 km.
