SourceThe Ross Lake trail is short and rough, a sub-alpine walk that ends at a small alpine lake and opens onto the ridge system above. Hiking, fishing and camping are what it gets used for, and Whitelady Lake is right there, about 0.6 km from the site.
Access is by four-wheel-drive road, and camping is first come, first served with nothing listed for facilities.
Harrop is about 8 km away, and the Kokanee Park Marina, roughly 6 km out, is the nearest fuel. Old growth at Kokanee Creek is about 4 km off, the Woodbury trailhead about 16 km, and the Nelson and Kaslo trail network, 226 trails of it, about 24 km away.
