About this site
SourceAileen Lake is a small fishing lake in the Winfield area with two campsites, one table and an outhouse, and that is the whole of it. The site is user-maintained, so pack out everything you bring in.
Getting there is the hard part. The road is 4x4 only, cut with water bars through old cutblocks and holding big puddles, so trailers and campers have a rough time of it. Camping is first come, first served.
Lavington and the nearest Canco pumps are both about 15 km away, so fill the tank before you turn off. Postill Trailhead Parking is about 13 km off, and Vernon, with 209 mountain bike trails, about 22 km.
