About this site

Source

Loon Lake is a small fishing lake in the Winfield area, and the site sits about 0.3 km from the water with a cartop boat launch. The rules tell you what kind of fishing it is: trout and char are catch and release, artificial fly only, bait banned, single barbless hook.

One campsite, first come, first served, on gravel. The last 0.6 km of road is very rough, so take it slowly and think twice in a low car. Nobody staffs it; the site is user-maintained.

Lavington is about 14 km out for supplies with fuel roughly the same distance, and the Postill trailhead parking is about 14 km away. Vernon and its 209 mountain bike trails are about 21 km off.
