SourceUp on the Aberdeen Plateau, Flyfish Lake #1 does roughly what the name promises: rainbow trout, mostly on the smaller side, on a user maintained site with the water about 0.5 km away.
Three sites, first come, first served, with gravel access. Hiking is on the list here too, so it is not a one-activity stop.
Coldstream and a Centex are both about 15 km off, which covers supplies and fuel in a single trip. The Postill trailhead parking is about 12 km away, and Vernon, with 209 mountain bike trails, about 21 km.
