About this site
SourceHorses are welcome at Kane Lake, in the Kane Valley near Merritt. The site was expanded with an equestrian area of very large campsites looking out over the valley, alongside the original pads, which take everything from motorhomes to tents.
There are 23 sites, first come, first served at $15 a night, and payment is cash only. The road in is gravel, and there is hiking from camp.
Aspen Grove is about 7 km away, though fuel is about 16 km out, so fill up first and shop second. The Harmon Lake interpretive trails start about 1 km away, the Kane Valley cross country ski parking is about 4 km off, and the Iron Mountain bike trails about 9 km.
