SourceRottacker Lake Recreation Site sits on the lake itself, free to camp, in the Cherryville area. That is the whole pitch and it is a good one.
There is no fee and the access is paved. Plan to be self-sufficient: water, a way to deal with waste, and everything you intend to eat.
Supplies are the catch. Cherryville is about 24 km away and the Cherryville Emporium, the nearest fuel, about 23.5 km, so come fuelled and provisioned. The Vidler Ridge trailhead is about 3 km from camp.
