SourceSugar Lake 1 Mile is a small site with beach activities and fishing at the water's edge in the Cherryville area, popular with families and easy to reach on good road.
There are 2 sites, and no Sugar Lake recreation site takes reservations, so it is first come, first served. This one is also gated: access is granted by the site operators at the neighbouring Sugar Lake site, so plan to check in rather than roll straight through.
Cherryville is about 14 km away for supplies and fuel at the Emporium. The Vidler Ridge trailhead is about 13 km off, and Holstein Lake about 11 km.
