About this site
SourceCedar Lake Recreation Site sits on a forested bench above the Columbia River just outside Golden, with the lake about 0.2 km from camp. Dogs are welcome here, which is not true everywhere.
Camping is first come, first served on gravel, with lakeside picnic areas, a vault toilet and a boat launch, and a day-use area alongside.
The Moonraker trails start about 0.3 km away, which makes this an easy place to ride from. Golden is about 4.2 km off for fuel and groceries and counts 73 trails of its own, with Mt 7 North Ridge about 7 km and Dawn Mountain about 8 km.
