About this site
SourceA sandy beach and a dock make this small site just outside Golden more of a swimming spot than a wilderness one. There is fishing and a boat launch as well, and recent upgrades enlarged the day use area.
There are 22 sites, first come, first served at $15 a night on gravel access, and 10 of them were improved along with the new dock.
The riding is the other reason to stay. Moonraker starts about 0.1 km from camp, Golden's 73 trails are about 4 km out, and Mt 7 North Ridge and Dawn Mountain sit about 7 and 8 km away. Golden itself is about 4 km for groceries, with a Petro-Canada the same distance.
