About this site
SourceDionisio Point Provincial Park sits at Galiano Island's north end overlooking Porlier Pass, and it is boat-access only: kayaks and small craft land where sculpted sandstone shelves meet sand and pebble beaches. The fast tidal currents through the pass feed a rich intertidal world of sea stars, nudibranchs and chitons, and shell middens along the shore mark a deep human history.
Walk-in camping pairs with fishing, kayaking, scuba diving and wildflower meadows in season. Expect pit toilets and potable water, and carry everything else in and out.
Spune'luxutth is the nearest listed community at about 7 km; the nearest listed fuel is about 14 km. Plan the crossing and the supplies as one exercise.
