SourceNorbury Lake Provincial Park fronts directly on Peckham's Lake just south of Fort Steele, with Norbury Lake alongside and the Steeples of the Hughes Range standing sharp against the sky to the east. It is a lightly wooded, easygoing park built around beach time and water.
About 46 sites are listed, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved access. Peckham's Lake holds rainbow trout, pleasant walking trails loop the area, and the Kootenay fish hatchery at Wardner makes a short outing.
Bull River is about 9 km away, though the nearest listed fuel is about 14 km, so top up around Cranbrook, whose 149-trail riding network sits about 21 km off.
