About this site
SourceLakit Lake is a shallow, man-made lake with a partly treed camp along its edge near Fort Steele. Look into the water and you can still pick out the old corduroy road on the bottom, which is a better story than most small lakes get.
There are 2 sites, first come, first served, on gravel access.
Fort Steele is about 10.1 km away and fuel about 9.6 km. The Lakit Lookout is about 3.8 km from camp, Saugum Lake about 1 km, and Wildhorse Warm Springs about 16.6 km. Cranbrook's 149 mountain bike trails are about 23.6 km out.
