About this site
SourcePaddlers know this one: Bluewater Creek is the take-out for the run that starts at the Bluewater Bridge site, a stretch that goes at grade 2 with a short piece of grade 3. The campsite is fairly open, close to the mouth of the creek, in the Golden area.
Eight sites, first come, first served, gravel access, and maintenance depends on campers doing their part.
Blaeberry is about 15 km away, but the nearest fuel, a Petro-Canada, is about 28 km, so fill the tank in Golden before you head up. Abetibie Lake is about 5 km off, and the Kicking Horse Bike Park, with 31 trails, is about 26 km.
