About this site
SourceLowry Lake is a treed camp on a small lake in the Port Alberni area, and the lake does the work: swim off the bank, fish from it, and let the day go.
There are six sites and no reservations, so you take what is open when you pull in. Access is 4x4, which makes this a trip for a truck with clearance rather than the family sedan.
Great Central is about 13 km out and the nearest fuel, Western Nations, roughly 22 km, so arrive with a full tank. Lois Lake is about 4 km away, the Della Falls trailhead about 20 km, and the Comox Valley's 226 mountain bike trails about 27 km off if you brought a bike.
