About this site
SourceBig old-growth hemlock stands over the camping at Nahmint Lake, and the beach below it is the reason most people make the drive out from Port Alberni. Boating, fishing and swimming all start from the same stretch of shore.
There are 12 sites, first come, first served, with a boat launch and a gravel road in. It is far enough out that most people come for more than one night.
Great Central is about 15 km back with fuel about 16 km out, both worth stopping at before you commit to the road in. The 5040 Trailhead for Cobalt Lake is about 18 km away, and the Funship mountain bike trails about 20 km.
