About this site

Source

Pacific Yew is the newest site on the Sayward Forest Canoe Route, built in 2021 on Mohun Lake and named for the yew trees growing through it. Paddlers use it as a link in the route, and it works just as well as a base to swim and fish from for a few days.

There are 30 sites, first come, first served, on gravel access, and most of them sit right at the water with a boat launch alongside.

Duncan Bay and its Gas n Go are both about 17 km off, which is your last stop for both. The Trout Creek Falls trail on Mohun Creek starts about 6 km away, Lawier Lake is under a kilometre out, and Campbell River, about 18 km along, has 277 mountain bike trails.
