About this site

Source

Paddlers on the Sayward Forest Canoe Route know this one: a portage trail runs from Campbell Lake through to the Gosling Lake stretch of the route. The camping is lakeside and the site was upgraded in 2021.

Tents, campers and small trailers fit here; anything large does not. The 6 sites are first come, first served on gravel, user-maintained, with a launch, fishing and hiking from camp.

The Shell is about 16 km away and Duncan Bay about the same for supplies, so fuel before the turnoff. The Trout Creek Falls trail is about 8 km off, and Campbell River, with 277 mountain bike trails, about 17 km.
