About this site
SourcePaulson Cross-Country is a 45 km trail network in the Castlegar area, built by the B.C. Forest Service with the Castlegar Nordic Ski Club. The loops run from beginner through advanced, the club sets track over much of the system, and there are day-use shelters along the way.
The road in is gravel and camping is first come, first served. No campground facilities are on record, so this is a base to work from rather than a serviced site.
Deer Park is about 20 km away and the nearest fuel, a Tempo, about 23 km, worth handling before you commit to the gravel. Mud Lake sits well under a kilometre off, the Glenmerry Shelter about 4 km, Walker Creek Cabin about 7 km, and the 24 Mile Snowmobile Area a similar distance. RED Mountain Bike Park and its 15 trails are about 19 km away.
