About this site

Source

A chain of three small lakes in the Selkirk Mountains gives Champion Lakes Provincial Park its shape, with old growth stands and younger regrowth forest along the way. Over 6 km of trail links the lakes together, and the third one, which has two day-use areas, is known locally for its warmer water.

The park lists 95 campsites on paved road, a mix of reservable and first come, first served. Fire pits, pit toilets and potable water are provided, and canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking and a boat launch are all on site.

Oasis is about 3.7 km away and the nearest fuel, a Petro-Canada, about 8 km, so fill up on the way through. Ophir Reservoir is roughly 5 km out, Murphy Creek about 6 km, Old Glory Lookout about 10 km, and RED Mountain Bike Park with 15 trails about 8 km.
