About this site
SourceBig Sheep Creek runs beside this small site in the Grand Forks area, which works best as a base for the Paulson trail system. Mud Lake itself is about 1.7 km away. One thing to know before you plan around it: overnight stays are not permitted at the Viking Centre cabin near the site.
The campsite is first come, first served, with gravel access.
Deer Park is about 20 km out and fuel at Seven Summits Service about 23 km, far enough that you want gas before the turnoff. Closer in, the Glenmerry Shelter is about 4 km away, Walker Creek Cabin about 6 km and the 24 Mile Snowmobile Area about 9 km. RED Mountain Bike Park and its 15 trails sit roughly 19 km off.
