About this site
SourceSyringa Provincial Park sits near the southeast end of Lower Arrow Lake, the widened stretch of the Columbia River behind the Hugh Keenleyside Dam at Castlegar. It has been a base-camp park for decades: fishing, boating and swimming on the reservoir, with grassland and interior Douglas fir country behind.
About 86 sites are listed, some reservable and some first come, first served, on paved access. The park protects one of the few remaining Kootenay grassland ecosystems, and Deer Creek Falls is about 13 km away.
Services take planning: Deer Park is about 11 km and the nearest listed fuel about 17 km, so fill up in Castlegar on the way through.
