About this site
SourceBuilt for riders, Memekay Horse Camp sits by the Memekay River near Sayward and exists mainly to put people on the Salmon-Brewster Horse Trail. There is a large shelter, high lines and corrals for the horses.
There are 11 sites, first come, first served, with gravel access. If you are not bringing a horse, the trail still walks, and the shelter is a good thing to have over your head.
Fuel is about 14 km away and Sayward about 22 km, both easy enough to hit on the way in. Spirit Lake sits about 8 km off.
