SourceSweeney Lake West sits past the east site on the same water, a quiet spot in the Houston area with lake and mountain views. A small gravel launch gets a cartopper out on the lake.
There is room for two parties, first come, first served. The access road is narrow and runs through a stand of dead pine, so expect fallen trees across it and carry a saw. It is user-maintained, so plan to leave it tidy for the next party.
This is remote country. Kemano is about 51 km away and the closest fuel is a Co-op cardlock about 84 km out, so fill the tank and stock the cooler long before you turn off.
