About this site
SourceThe east end of Sweeney Lake holds a small remote campsite with a gravel boat launch and long views over the water to the peaks behind it, in the Houston area. Quiet is the selling point, mostly because nothing else is close.
Camping is first come, first served. The access road is steep and can go soft, so it rewards a capable vehicle.
Plan supplies carefully: Kemano is about 52 km away and the nearest fuel, a Co-op cardlock, is about 83 km. Fill the tank long before you turn off, and bring everything you expect to eat.
