SourceSmall and rustic, Blackwater Lake has a dock, an outhouse and 6 campsites by the water. Swimming and fishing are the whole programme.
The dock is where kayaks, canoes and cartop boats go in; there is no ramp, so anything on a trailer stays home. Sites are first come, first served on gravel, and the place is user-maintained, meaning nobody is coming along behind you to tidy up.
D'Arcy is about 8 km away and the N'Quatqua Central Service Station is a touch closer at about 7.5 km, so groceries and gas are both easy. The Cool Creek Canyon trailhead is about 18 km out.
