About this site
SourceMcDonald Creek Park sits south of Nakusp on the Arrow Lake reservoir, one of four provincial parks on that water. The facilities are on the eastern shoreline, where a long sandy beach, waterfront sites and open grassy meadows give you room to spread out, and the boat launch opens up kokanee, bull trout and rainbow.
There are 112 sites here, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved roads. Pit toilets, potable water and fire pits are standard, with swimming, fishing, hiking and biking on top.
East Arrow Park is about 9.5 km away, with fuel at Carson's Corner about 11 km out. The Saddle Mountain fire lookout is roughly 7 km off, Box Lake about 10 km, and the Arrow Slocan network, 75 trails, about 24 km away.
