About this site

Source

Whiskers Point runs out on a peninsula into McLeod Lake, which gives the campground a sandy beach, a sheltered southern exposure and plenty of shoreline. The forest is wet, cool sub-boreal spruce, and the sunsets over the lake are what campers tend to remember.

The park lists 59 sites, some reservable and some first come, first served, on paved roads, with pit toilets, potable water and fire pits. There is a boat launch, swimming and fishing, plus a playing field, horseshoe pits, a playground and a volleyball net for the in-between hours.

McLeod Lake is about 11.5 km away and Tse'Khene Food Fuel a similar distance, so a supply run is straightforward. Warhorse Lake sits about 12 km off.
