About this site
SourceThree kilometres off Highway 97 near the Mackenzie Junction, this small site trades a highway pullout for an actual lake. It sits in a semi-open regenerating cutblock with the water about 0.3 km away and a boat launch for getting on it.
Four sites, first come, first served, on gravel, with picnic tables, fire rings and a pit toilet. Basic, but enough for a night off the road.
Fuel at Windy Point is about 0.5 km away and the Mackenzie Junction about 2 km, so this is an easy one to stock. Mackenzie and its 33 mountain bike trails are about 26 km away.
