About this site
SourceHikers get the most out of Bell Mountain Meadow Recreation Site, a free camp in the McBride area that works best as a base for the trails around it.
Access is paved and there is no fee. The amenity record is empty, so carry water and take your rubbish home with you.
McBride is about 11.3 km away and a Centex about 11.5 km, close enough that a supply run is realistic but far enough that you should still stock up on the way through. The Bell Mountain parking lot at Km 5 is about 4.9 km off, the McIntosh equestrian site about 6 km, the Ozalenka trailhead and parking area about 6.2 km, and Lucille Mountain about 6.3 km. Ozalenka Lake is about 9.5 km.
