SourceBowron Lake Provincial Park is home to the world-renowned Bowron Lake Canoe Circuit, a 116 km chain of lakes and portages on the western slopes of the Cariboo Mountains. The full loop takes six to ten days; the West Side out-and-back runs two to four, and some wilderness canoeing experience is strongly recommended either way.
For everyone else there is a pleasant 24-site drive-in campground near the registration centre, a short distance from Bowron Lake itself, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, with short walking trails nearby, a boat launch, swimming and fishing.
This is deep Cariboo: historic Barkerville is about 36 km away and the nearest listed fuel about 38 km in Wells, so arrive with everything you need.
