About this site
SourceElk Falls Provincial Park pairs a thundering 25 m waterfall with some of the best year-round salmon fishing in Canada, just a few minutes from downtown Campbell River. From November to March steelhead run right past the campsites on the Quinsam River, and in fall the spawning salmon arrive.
The campground lists about 122 riverside sites, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved roads, with a forest trail network and the Quinsam salmon hatchery nearby.
Being this close to town keeps logistics easy: fuel is about 2 km away. If you ride, Campbell River's 277-trail network starts about 3 km from camp.
