About this site

Source

Big Bay sits on the east side of the lake at the end of a long access road, one of only a few campsites over on that shore. A canoe or small boat goes in easily from here, and there are bays and beaches to poke around once you are on the water.

There are 6 first come, first served sites on gravel, maintained by the people who use them, and the layout does not suit large trailers or motorhomes. Swimming is right there.

The Shell at about 10 km is the closest fuel, with Duncan Bay about 12 km for supplies. The Elk Falls trailhead is 7 km away, Gosling Lake about 6.5 km, and Campbell River, with 277 mountain bike trails, about 11 km.
