About this site
SourceGordon Bay Provincial Park sits on the south shore of Cowichan Lake in one of Vancouver Island's sunniest valleys. In summer the water warms up properly and the sandy beach does the rest, which is why it has a long reputation as a family park.
The campground lists 126 sites, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved road, with potable water, pit toilets and fire pits. The lake fishes well for rainbow, cutthroat and Dolly Varden in the cooler months, and water skiing and windsurfing take over in summer. Walking trails thread the second-growth Douglas fir.
Honeymoon Bay is under 3 km for basics and the nearest listed fuel is about 4 km, so supply runs are painless.
