About this site
SourceNixon Creek Recreation Site sits in an older timber stand on Cowichan Lake with a genuine west coast feel to it, fronted by a fine gravel beach where small boats can be launched straight off the shore.
The site runs 62 first come, first served sites on gravel access, with fishing and swimming as the everyday activities. The fee is $20 a night, cash only, and the site has on-site supervision.
Youbou is about 14 km around the lake for supplies, with the nearest listed fuel about 13 km, so plan one good stock-up on the way in.
