Nice rec site. Super friendly, lots of variety of sites to choose from. Stayed in FCFS site 1, was up high in the shade and woke up to birds singing their hearts out.
About this site
SourcePine Point Site is one of the Cowichan Lake recreation sites people quietly return to every year, on the strength of good fishing, easy paddling and a beach that faces south and soaks up the afternoon.
The site takes all kinds of units across 60 first come, first served sites, with a boat launch for boats up to 14 feet. Access is gravel, the fee is $20 a night, and it is cash only, so stop at a bank machine in town.
Youbou is about 5 km away with the nearest listed fuel about 4 km, which makes this one of the easier lake sites to resupply from.
