About this site
SourceMonck Provincial Park runs along the shore of Nicola Lake in hot, dry grassland country outside Merritt. Ponderosa pine, bunchgrass and a volcanic rock cliff give it a landscape all its own, and the lake carries the load on hot days.
The campground lists 129 sites, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved road. Swimming, fishing, boating, water skiing and windsurfing all run off the beach, with hiking and biking for the mornings. Pit toilets, potable water and fire pits are standard.
Quilchena and its general store, which doubles as the nearest fuel, are under 3 km away. The Lundbom Grasslands, a local favourite for open-country walking, sit about 10 km off.
