SourceShade is the selling point on the southwest side of Glimpse Lake: semi-open forest, mostly spruce and fir over the sites, with the lake about 1 km away. The cartop launch here is rough, and there is a better public launch elsewhere on the lake if you are bringing a boat worth caring about.
Eight sites, first come, first served, at $15 a night, and it is cash only, so bring bills. Gravel road in.
Douglas Lake is about 11 km away. Merritt is the service town for this corner, so buy fuel and food there before you come out.
