About this site

Source

Sunshine Bay near Nelson has a crescent, south-facing shore and a long human history: two pit house depressions across the road record First Nations use of this ground, and the remains of a log cabin mark a much later chapter. Leave both undisturbed.

Four parties camp here, first come, first served, and getting in takes four-wheel drive. Swimming, fishing and a boat launch cover the days.

Renata is about 12 km away, and the Edgewood General Store, about 27 km out, has the nearest fuel, so fuel up before you head in. Deer Creek Falls is about 12 km off.
