SourceTop of the World Provincial Park sits on a plateau mostly above 2,200 m in the Kootenay Ranges, with the Hughes Range as backdrop and 2,912 m Mount Morro marking its high point. For a backcountry park it is unusually family-friendly: an easy, well-maintained trail leads to Fish Lake, where a 16-site lakeside campground waits, plus a public cabin sleeping 14 to 18.
Hiking, fishing, swimming and biking fill the season, and winter turns it into a beautiful, remote ski-touring destination. Wildhorse Warm Springs sits about 7 km off for the determined.
Supplies take intent: Skookumchuck is about 24 km and the nearest listed fuel about 25 km at Wasa Lake, so arrive carrying everything.
