About this site
SourceA dock, a small lake and rock to climb: West Lake is a rustic camp in the Kitimat area, developed in partnership with the Terrace Community Forest. The water is about 0.1 km from the sites, and there is bouldering and rock climbing close by.
Four sites, first come, first served, with gravel access and a boat launch. There is fishing in West Lake itself and in the smaller lakes around it.
Lakelse is about 9 km away, but fuel is about 22 km off at the Petro-Canada truck stop, so top up before you head in. The Clearwater Lakes Trail is about 6 km away, the Onion Lake ski trails about 7 km, and Terrace, with 45 mountain bike trails, about 22 km.
