About this site
SourceLakelse Lake Provincial Park strings three areas along a sandy-beached lake in the Terrace area, with the Kitimat Range standing behind the water. Furlong Bay is the main campground; the picnic site and Gruchy's Beach handle day trips.
Furlong Bay lists about 165 sites, a mix of reservable and first come, first served, on paved road, with a visitor centre, covered picnic shelter, amphitheatre and an ice cream stand. Kayak and paddleboard rentals run in season, and hiking, canoeing, windsurfing, swimming and fishing all happen off the beach.
The community of Lakelse is about 5 km away and gas about 11 km. Terrace's mountain bike network, 45 trails, is about 12 km if you want a riding day.
