SourceHorse Creek Recreation Site sits next to a marina at the north end of Kinbasket Reservoir, in the Valemount area. The water is the point here: fishing off the reservoir, boats coming and going, and the Canoe Reach Marina about 1 km down the road.
There are 30 sites, first come, first served, at $14 a night, with gravel access in.
Valemount is about 23 km out for supplies, and the nearest fuel, a Co-Op cardlock, is about the same, so arrive with a full tank. The town also has 67 mountain bike trails, and Albreda Lake is about 10 km away.
