SourceRock Creek Recreation Site offers quiet forest camping in the Stave West area above Mission, designed for everything from a truck and camper to a full-size RV despite the gravel road in.
The site has 50 first come, first served sites in a genuinely peaceful setting. Devils Lake is about 2 km away, and the Reservoir Trail trailhead about 6 km, so there is walking without driving far.
Stave Falls is about 6 km out, though the nearest listed fuel is about 13 km, so it is worth arriving topped up even this close to town.
