About this site
SourceIn the Nelson area, Grizzly Creek works as a base camp rather than a destination. People use it to work up Koch, Greasybill and Grizzly Creeks, and to fish.
The site takes 2 parties, first come, first served, on gravel access. A rough four-wheel-drive road carries on from here toward Lower Arrow Lake at Fauquier, which makes this a sensible place to stop and look the truck over before committing to that.
Vallican is about 16.7 km away and the mini-mart at Winlaw about 21.4 km, so buy food and fuel before you turn off. Lower Little Slocan Lake sits about 12.6 km out and the Passmore trailhead about 18.3 km.
