About this site
SourceA small, partly treed campsite on the bank of Gold Creek, near Lake Koocanusa in the Cranbrook area. The Newgate highway runs alongside, but the site sits well below the road, so traffic noise is less than you would expect.
There is one site, first come, first served, and the way in is rough and steep enough to need four-wheel drive. Fishing is the main thing to do.
Kragmont is about 9 km away, but the nearest fuel is about 25 km off, so fill the tank before you drop down to the creek. Edwards Lakes are about 11 km away.
