About this site
SourceShallow and small, with a shaded stream feeding the north end over moss covered rocks, Edwards Lake is a better bird watching stop than most campsites get to be. The marshy edges at that end pull in herons and waterfowl.
Three sites, first come, first served, on gravel, with a boat launch and fishing on the lake.
Grasmere is close at about 4 km, though the nearest fuel on record is about 23 km out, which is the one errand worth doing first.
