About this site
SourceWilson Lake runs 4.5 km long, deep and narrow, with a steep shoreline that is mostly reachable only by boat. The recreation site sits on a flat at the east end, a large open clearing with the campsites ringed around the edge of it.
Four sites, first come, first served, on gravel, with a boat launch. The open layout means you see your neighbours, and it also means room to spread gear out.
Box Lake is about 9 km away and Carson's Corner, about 13 km off, is the nearest fuel, so top up as you pass. The lake itself is about 2 km from camp, Kimbol Lake about 5 km, the Cedar Grove Trail about 8 km, and Valhalla Hills Nordic about 12 km.
