About this site
SourceWasa Lake Provincial Park sits at the north end of Wasa Lake in the Kootenays, with the Purcells and the Rockies filling the view across the water. The lake takes swimmers, paddlers, anglers, water skiers and boats.
There are 104 campsites on paved access, some reservable and some first come, first served, with fire pits, pit toilets and potable water. A cycling trail runs the lakeshore, a self-guided interpretive trail climbs to Wasa Lake Ridge, and there is a boat launch for anything you tow in.
The water is about 0.3 km from camp and the village of Wasa about 1.2 km, with fuel and a food stop roughly the same distance, which makes this one of the easier parks to restock at. Lakit Lookout is about 12.5 km away, Mcginty Lake about 14 km, Wildhorse Warm Springs about 19 km, and Kimberley with its 130 mountain bike trails about 21 km.
