SourceRainbow trout are the reason to drive up to Lodgepole Lake near Kamloops. Fly fishing and trolling are the usual methods, and because the access road is maintained through winter, people come for ice fishing as well.
The 16 sites run $15 a night, first come, first served, on gravel, with the lake about 0.2 km away.
Logan Lake is about 21 km off for supplies and the nearest fuel roughly 17 km, so top up before you turn off the highway. Stake Lake is about 2.8 km from camp with its dog run trail about 2.6 km, and Kamloops, with 272 mountain bike trails, is about 21 km out.
